Technology and Sciences are changing our world at an incredible speed.

To meet the challenges of the future, it is crucial that our kids learn to love Science and play with it. Nobody better than their teachers can show them the way. It is not an easy task.

As a mathematician, I know that sharing my work and ideas is sometimes a challenge. Mathematics are particularly abstract and may seem remote from everyday’s life. However, mathematics are everywhere nowadays. It is our duty to make it accessible to all.

I therefore believe that science teachers have a particularly important role to play. Even though our governments try to adapt the education program to these changes, it is clear to me that fieldwork is essential to meet the challenges of science education and only the teachers can really address them. Understanding how science is thought in different countries and sharing ideas among countries is a wise manner to progress, also in tune with the fact that Science has no frontiers. Science on stage is a unique place to make it happen.
